What a challenge! Graham Barton is raising £2,000 for Walk For Life Arboleas in memory of my mum Penelope Walker by doing the most amazing challenge.
In his words ”To raise money for Walk for life Arboleas, as a team we have decided to do the stair challenge and will replicate climbing the highest mountain in the UK, Ben Nevis 1345 metres high. On the 14th February 2024 my team (5 of us) and I will be completing a challenge which will consist of climbing the external staircase of the 245 Hammersmith building. As a team we will be climbing to the top and back 269 times, this will be done carrying a total of 1345kg in rucksacks and gravity bags. In addition, we will also complete 1345 press-ups. Please donate any amount to this great cause, will be gratefully received. My Mum died when having an operation on her esophagus in Spain, because of the complications and infection control we were not allowed in the ward to visit her, so we were unable to be with her at the end. Walk for Life Arboleas were there for her throughout her diagnosis and operations, they translated all my mums medical notes and were there at every appointment for nearly 3 months free of charge, they were there for her when she was put under to go in for the operation. They are an amazing charity that I want to raise as much money as i can for them, they are close to my heart and how they dealt with my mum, priceless”. Good luck to the team. https://www.justgiving.com/crowdfunding/graham-barton?utm_term=RzkKdzDp4
